2006-09-16 找到小胖在------------------------遙遠的花蓮阿彌佛陀

Dear Grace and All, Sorry for the late response. I am not ignoring your argument/suggestion, but I am not sure what I want to say. On one hand, I definitely agree with you that more lead time makes it easier to do planning (I am in a similar shoe as you, Grace). On the other hand, John's suggestion is very reasonable and people are probably eager to have a big one. I am amazed at the rekindled friendship shown during all the gatherings so far. This is way beyond the typcial reunions where people gather after 25/30/whatever years, have fun and say bye-bye. Richard, He WeiNeng, Mao LiYing, Zheng XiaoLu and more formed such a bond that made these smaller gatherings/reunion so moving - we are real friends again, not just oldies meet every N years. Our lives seem to cross again. On top of that, we have the excitement of locating each lost classmate and the pictures of each "new" face after 36 years. This is so good that I don't think any soap opera can equal. I guess what I am saying is that we have something really special here. It is so special that no single big reunion party can be enough. I just hope that regardless when/how we have the big reunion, we will continue to have small gatherings, continue to be everyday friends, and continue to be friends of a life time.

OK, I am the nostalgic type. I envy all the meetings. I appreciate all your friendship (people seem to remember me). I definitely hope to see you all ASAP, and as often as possible. Meng-Lin
